The young girl let out a sigh of relief as she quietly snaked her body around the corner. If she was going to pull this off, she would have to get the drop on her quarry. She smiled slightly as she silently set her feet down one in front of the other in the form of whisper soft footsteps. Hmm, he'll never hear me coming.
She came up on the side of bed and the figure sleeping inside. He can be cute when he's not bugging the shit out of me, she thought. She sighed and took a deep breath. Wakey, wakey, brother dear. Then she opened her mouth to yell, "Hmmhe hurmhay!!" Her voice was garbled by her brother's hand over her mouth, then he removed it, "Dammit, Light!! You heard me!" He opened one eye and then the other.
"Hey, sis." His cocky smile proving he had won this round of their little game. "Maybe you can catch me later, Life."
A third person stirred in another nearby bed, "Every year, you two try to prank each other on your birthdays. And in the process, I get bothered in one way or another." This voice came from their brother, Justyce.
"Like when?!" asked Light indignantly.
"Life's birthday...when you tried to booby trap the peanut butter jar with a ki blast and I came in to make myself lunch? Or last year, at Light's birthday dinner, when you used melted ex-lax for cake icing instead of regular icing and I ate a piece? Not to mention when Mom and Dad found out that you, sister dearest, orchestrated that little incident."
Light snickered at the last part remembering how the whole family had spent the night in the bathrooms of the house. Everyone but Life that is. It was actually a pretty good joke.
Life rose from beside Light's bed and walked out of the boys' room giving Light a playful birthday smack with her the tips of her fingers. "Happy birthday, big brother."
As soon as she left, there was a tap at his window. Light rolled out of bed and opened the window as his best friend flew in through the window. "Hey, Strife. What's up?"
"Nothing much, except for the fact that I have a really big problem."
Light looked curious, "Oh? What's that?"
Strife, who was hanging his head looking worried, looked up with a mischievous grin on his face, "You're older than me again." They both had a good laugh at this. They were close to the same age, so close (3 weeks) that when they were young, Strife had always said that he would catch up with, and become older than Light. That's a stupid statement, but they were six, so it was funny.
"Whatcha wanna do today?" Light asked his friend.
"Go out with your sister," said Strife, sitting on Justyce's bed, and on Justyce, who had covered himself back up in an attempt to return to sleep. "Aaahhh!" he screamed, "Oh, Justyce, it's you. I thought that your bed was going to eat me or something."
"And you're how old?" asked Justyce.
"Eighteen, why?"
"Because you're not going to date my seventeen year old sister unless you're within two years age of her."
Strife counted his fingers, "Hmm, three weeks yet." he mumbled.
Trunks woke up with a start as he felt someone watching him. Someone's here...watching me...Pan? No...it's someone stronger...and not as flattering. His attention was diverted by a tap at the window. Goten. He walked over to the window and opened it. Goten climbed through. "Hey, Goten...how long were you at the window?"
"I had just got there when I knocked. Why?"
"I thought someone was watching me."
"Maybe it was Pan."
"She's my girlfriend, not a stalker!"
"Maybe it was a stalker. You know, one of these young girls who's heart you've stolen." Goten put hand to his forehead and pretended to faint onto Trunks' bed.
"Goten, you're a jackass."
"Yeah, so..."
"Nevermind. Come on, Goten, let's go spar."
"Why are you so anxious for me to beat you up?"
"Hmm, we'll see." Trunks said, pulling on the pants to his gi and a pair of boots. They went downstairs to the kitchen finding Pan and Bra both in little lace nighties. Since Trunks and Pan started going out, she had somewhat 'detomboyified' herself, with the help of Bra.
"Hey, sweety!" Pan said as they entered the kitchen. She walked over and kissed him.
"Hey, babe!" Trunks said before returning her kiss. He turned to his sister, "Good morning, Bra."
"Good morning, Bra." Goten said. "Good morning, Panny."
Bra smiled sweetly at Goten, while Pan's lips weren't hers to smile with at the time. "Good morning, Goten." She smiled again. Goten just smiled back, oblivious as to what she wanted. You idiot!! Ask me out already!! She sighed and started to think about breaking her 'let the guy ask her out' rule that she had adopted a while back. Apparently, it was useless dropping hints to this guy. It was also apparent that Gohan had gotten the brains of the Son family. It certainly wasn't Goten, and it'd be a cold day in Hell if Goku had them.
As soon as Trunks had downed a couple cups of coffee, he and Goten left. "Pan, your uncle's an idiot." Bra said.
"Yeah, I know. Most Son men are, my dad being the only exception."
Meanwhile, in the woods where Trunks and Goten were warming up. "Trunks your sister is weird. I know she wants me, but she won't say anything about it."
"She's been dropping hints like crazy!"
"Really? I hadn't noticed."
Trunks shook his head in disbelief, "Nevermind, let's go." Trunks dropped into a fighting stance. Goten did the same and they rushed at each other. Trunks sailed a punch at Goten's face. He missed and Goten headbutted him for his trouble. Then kicked him in the stomach, doubling him over. Goten locked his fingers and went to club Trunks on the back of his neck. Suddenly, he was gone. Where did he... The thought was interrupted by a foot in his back, a knee in his ribs, and a fist to his face. He looked around for where Trunks had been, but didn't find him anywhere. Suddenly a elbow nailed him in the side of the head, Goten turned to see Trunks' afterimage after he zanzokened away. That's his game, Goten thought, cupping his hands at his side. Kaaaammmeeeehhaa..... Now he waited for Trunks to show his pretty little face. Goten sensed something. There. ....mmeeehaaa! Trunks appeared a distance away. "BURNING ATTACK!"
"KAMEHAMEHA!!" Instead of meeting in the middle, the two attacks rushed past each other and at their respective targets. Woah, that's new! both fighters thought. The attacks rocket toward their targets at alarming speed. Both Trunks and Goten batted the attacks back toward their senders. This time they did meet in the middle causing a huge explosion and a blinding light, throwing both warriors backward.
Goten scrambled up to his feet, "Gawd, that was cool!"
Trunks took the offensive launching a head on attack at Goten who was still admiring the fireworks. He kicked Goten right between the eyes. "That was pretty cool, wasn't it?"
He was a Saiyajin, alright. A Saiyajin prince, in fact. He stared at the mirror contemplating how he came to be on this planet as the steam from the hot shower he had just taken filled the room. He had been King Vegeta's brother, next in line to ascend the throne, but had given it up in order to be the explorer, the hero that he had always dreamed of being. Cyran Vegeta had become an astronaut, so that he could find a new planet to conquer. To sell. He had been aided in this by his best friend, General Zanthos Kandais, another high rank Saiyajin, and two women that politics dictated had to be taken as apart of the Great Saiyajin Women's' Movement. He hadn't cared too much, just a couple more pairs of hands to help out, and another couple of mouths to feed, besides they were kinda cute. So, they went searching and didn't find anything new. They were gone for six years. After that, they turned to return home, but when they arrived at Vegetasei's coordinates, they discovered it was gone. Running low on food and air, they went to the nearest planet, Earth. They could fit in here, until they could contact Vegetasei and figure out what happened. Over the course of six years, the Saiyajins had paired off into two couples, Cyran and the female called, Jora, and Zanthos and the female, Siria. By the time they landed on Earth, Cyran and Jora had already had a child, Justyce, who was two. Three years later, while Cyran and Zanthos were topping the scientific world, which wasn't hard since they were from a more advanced civilization, Jora was pregnant again and so was Siria. Both women had sons, Jora giving birth three weeks before Siria and naming their son Light, while three weeks later, the Kandias' brat was dubbed Strife.
Cyran had started to shave, still lost in thought. Two years later, they women were knocked up again. This time, Siria's birth came first, naming the baby girl Fyre, one week later, Jora's daughter, Life, was born. Now, seventeen years later, it was Light's nineteenth birthday. He smiled. His brats were becoming adults.
Jora was stirring now. She had slept late, But it's my fault she's so tired. Vegetain chuckled as he reminiced about last night's activities. I almost swore I heard a cheering crowd, he thought to himself. Jora rolled over to face him and smiled. My God, she's more beautiful everyday.
"Hi, honey," she almost purred.
"Good morning, my love," Cyran purred back. He sat on the bed as Jora stretched and moaned contentedly. He kissed her on the forehead. "I'm going to work now. I'll make you pay for not making me breakfast, tonight." He nipped playfully at her neck.
"If you do, I probably won't be able to tomorrow."
"Then you'll just be punished again."
She moaned again, "I can't wait."
Vegeta had been training all morning, ever since sunrise. It was now noon and he was beginning to tire. I'm starting to get hungry, Vegeta thought noticing his overwhelming urge, Oh yeah, I guess I could eat something, too. He left the gravity room and started in the direction of the laboratory, looking for Bulma.
He found her sitting in the lab going over some figures on a calculator. Let's see, 457.7x divided by 75.6 equals- She never finished the thought, as Vegeta had come into the lab and leaned against the wall with his arms crossed looking at her lovingly. He walked over to her and kissed her hungrily. Oh, screw this! Bulma thought throwing the calculator behind her as Vegeta lifted her into his arms and started to move toward the bedroom.
It was now late at night. After his birthday dinner, Light and Strife had gone cruising in his car with his father's present a five disk changer for his CD player. They had gone to the mall, where Light always went to buy slushies. They were returning now. Strife, knowing his friend, had given him money. Light had used the money to buy the hat on his head, as well as a shirt. The house should be deserted, he thought, pulling into the garage. Mom and Dad should be here, but they'll probably be upstairs banging their brains out, he thought, noting his parents active bedroom life. But Life and Fyre should be crashing at the Kandias' place tonight.
He walked into his house finding his sister and Fyre sitting on the couch, Life on the phone and Fyre channel surfing, both girls in robes, doing their nails, wearing a beauty mask on their faces. Light didn't know if he should be annoyed or amused. It was a funny sight. Each girl had a couple things going on at the same time, managing them all expertly. He ran his hand through his hair, which was braided and had three white beads on the end of each braid. It hung down just above his ears. He crossed to the other couch and folded it out, lay down. It had two cushions, each of which folded out into a small bed. A big thump from upstairs sent Strife and his sister into fits of laughter. Life just shrugged.
"They're at it again," she said.
"Yeah," her brother had muttered, he found it slightly embarrassing that his parents were horny so much. "We're going to end up with another brat around here sooner or later." Light handed both Fyre and Strife five dollars.
"What's this for?" asked Fyre.
"Hush money, don't tell anyone that our parents are a couple of horndogs." Justyce walked through the front door, not surprising anyone, as they heard him pull his car up.
Another loud bump sounded from upstairs followed by a scream. Justyce looked at the ceiling, "Oh, you're kidding me!! How many times they gonna go at it? They were doing it when I left."
"They were doing it when we came," said Fyre.
"Us, too," Strife said. "Man, I hope me and my wife are like that when I get married."
"Yeah, me too," Life said.
Suddenly, Light felt a strange ki. He heardsomethingg upstairs. A second later his mother and father were descending the stairs, getting dressed. "Kids...go to the basement and don't come out until told." Cyran said grimly.
"But-" Light started.
"Damn it, child! Just do as your father said," Jora said.
There was a knock at the door, as the door was answered, Zanthos and Siria entered, "Hey, Cy, you feel that?" Zanthos asked.
"Yeah, Zan."
Siria looked at the confused looking children, "Shouldn't they be hiding somewhere?"
"They've been told that," Cyran said, scowling at Justyce, the oldest of the group.
Justyce turned to the group, "You guys go down to the basement, I'll get an explanation and join you." The group of youngsters departed as Justyce looked to his father. "What the hell is going on, dad?"
Cyran sighed, "The Matrijins are coming."
"The who?"
"Matrijins, they were our races' worst enemies. Now, I suspect, they're sending an extermination squad, after us. To snuff out the last of the Saiyajins. They know we're here, but I'm sure they have no idea that you are here as well. That's why you have to hide while we fight them off, if they get you, we'll have to surrender. Now, GO!!"
"No! I'm staying with--" Justyce was cut off there as his father blasted him out of the room. "Alright, I'm going!!" He joined the others in the basement and told them of the situation.
"Well, we can't do anything now but sit and wait," Light said, sitting on a stool, closing his eyes, and crossing his arms.
Just then, the house exploded. As wood and bricks showered them, Light thought, Well this is a different type of birthday.
The door fell onto Fyre when the house went up. It ended up absorbing some of the blows from the debris, so she was the only one still conscious when whoever had attacked said, "Neither Prince Vegeta nor Kakkarot were with these four."
Another voice said, "So we killed them for nothing?" Then Fyre gave in to the darkness, passing out just as the second voice finished it's answer. Vegeta? Like Life's last name? were her last thoughts before she lost consciousness.
Gohan had awoken in a cold sweat. What the hell was that? he wondered. Videl was suddenly awake too. She was looking at him worriedly, and since he couldn't tell her what the matter was, since he didn't know himself, he told her that it was just a bad dream that he had. She kissed him and threw her arm around him as she went back to sleep. Gohan lie back down too, confused by what he just felt. It felt like someone going Super Saiyajin and then being killed...but it was no one that I know... he thought as he drifted off into unconsciousness.
Light stirred, What the hell was that about? Did the house explode? Am I dead, or worse, am I the only one left alive?
He opened his eyes, and dust fell into them. He squinted and tried to sit up. He was covered by building materials. He pushed them off of him and as he did a pain shot from his head throughout his body. He touched his temple, his hand came away slick with blood. That means I haven't been out too long. The sun was up, as it was about three in the morning when they had been ordered into the basement. He looked around and saw the upper body of his friend Strife jutting from under another pile of debris. Oh please let him be alive. As if on cue, Strife stirred and turned to look at Light, his forehead and nose bleeding. "Happy Birthday, buddy."
Light let himself chuckle a little, "All I wanted was a hat, a shirt, and a CD. I got a house falling on my head. What's 'Happy' about that?"
"Well, you're alive, that's more than I could say for our parents," said a solemn figure pushing from under a door. Her red hair a deeper red in some places.
"What are you talking about, Fyre?" asked Justyce, who had just sat up from under him was the still unconscious form of Life, he had tried to protect her with his body, probably after seeing her fall. The way he was holding his arm suggested that it was hurt, most likely broken.
"Before I blacked out I heard a voice say something like, 'Prince Vegeta andKakkarott, weren't here' and..."
"Vegeta? You mean like our name?" asked Light.
"Yeah, that's what he said. Then another voice said, 'so you mean we killed them for nothing?' and then I passed out."
"This was one HELL of a birthday, man. I do NOT want to EVER have another one like this."
"So, what do we do now?" Fyre asked.
"First, we wait for Life to wake up. Then...your guess is as good as mine, there," Light said.
"Maybe we should find this 'Prince Vegeta' and this other Kakkarott' guy," Justyce said, "He's obviously related and 'Prince' suggests that he is dad's brother or dad's brother's son. Our 1st cousin, I think." Light and Strife nodded in unison. Fyre had risen and was now trying to get a view of the street.
"Uh, oh," Fyre said.
"What now?" asked Light, upset and rightfully so, as his parents just died protecting him and his friends, and his home, had just fallen on top of him. What else could happen?
"Uh, your car is, um, gone."
Light blinked, like he was surprised at first and then not. "That figures. What about Justyce's?"
"Scrap."
"Um, Life's?"
"At my house, which is also gone."
"How can you tell?"
"Every building, tree, etc. for three blocks in any direction is gone. I only live one block away."
"Well," said Strife, "That sucks. We're screwed."
"Totally, majorly, and royally," Fyre responded grimly. A slight moan let them know that Life was stirring.
"Justyce...Strife...Light...Fyre...did the big bad wolf blow our house down?" Light was beside her in a minute, but he was still wondering why she had said the names in that order. We both have a special bond with Justyce I know, but why did she say Strife's name before mine? This was a stupid question that didn't even matter, nor did it make sense. Light quickly dismissed it, helping her to a sitting position. "What happened?"
Strife answered, "The Matrijins came and killed our parents, as to why your house fell down, along with every house for a three block radius, including ours....I have utterly no idea." Life smiled at the humor in Strife's voice as he said that, but the smile soon faded. "What now?"
"Fyre said there was another Vegeta here on Earth--besides the purple haired human that runs Capsule--so, we're going to try to find him, her, it, them....whatever."
Light thought about the purple haired president of Capsule Corp. He had always entertained the idea of Trunks Vegeta Briefs being a relative, but he didn't have a tail. Everytime Light had seen him at a public event hosted by Capsule, or on TV, or something like that, he always looked for where a tail could have been hidden. His father had always told him that if you didn't have a tail, you're not a real saiyajin. He always debated this thought, dismissing it as a statement of his father's pride and nothing more.
"Let's get going," Fyre's gentle and calm voice had broken him out of his reverie. He looked at her, she had the build and looks of a super model, with her well toned body, firey red hair, and her beautiful face. He had called her cute a year ago, not she was just out and out breathtaking, simply stunning. He had entertained thoughts of asking her out, but dismissed them, as they had been like brother and sister while children. He shook his head and tried to concentrate on the task at hand.
He nodded, "Yeah, right..." All five of the young Saiyajins took to the air, floating up to the street. "So where do we start?"
"Well," said Justyce, "let's start with the only other Vegeta we know of....Trunks Vegeta Briefs."
"Well, hell, it's a start," Strife shrugged.
"Let's ride," said Light.
"Ride what, every car for three blocks is scrapped."
"Hmm."
Goten was on the ground again, Trunks was coming at him from above. Yeah, that's it, Trunks. A little closer...Now! He scooted out of the way and held his hands out, "Masenko....HA!!" The blast streaked toward Trunks who could do nothing but close his eyes and hope he didn't hit a tree as the impact threw him backward, sending him hurtling into the forest. SMACK! the wood of the mighty oaksplinteredd as Trunks' body crashed into it. Damn it! he thought as he came to a sitting position, being able to go no further at that time. Trunks rubbed the back of his head, bringing his hand away slick with blood. This was getting fun.
"Whoa! That was stronger than I thought!" Goten's clueless, and slightly apologetic, tone rang out through the woods. He found his friend with a goofy smile...a Son smile. "Hey! That looked like it hurt!"
"That felt like it hurt," Trunks muttered, wincing as he tried to get up once more.
"Ya know, I'm getting hungry...can we go eat?"
Trunks got up quickly, "Yeah, sure let's go. We'll pick up Bra and Pan on our when we on our way."
There. Capsule Corp. That's where we'll find some answers...hopefully. Life blinked as the sun had come out shining brightly. Her stomach growled. She looked at her watch, which was cracked, but still ticking. It was 11:30am. No wonder I'm hungry. It's lunchtime. She stopped flying for just a moment and hovered as she fished in her pockets. A pack of gum, a whistle, some lip gloss, a house key...hmm, no use for that any more...and in the other packet...$35.50. Cool, I can buy something to eat later. Hopefully, later will be sooner than later would suggest. She was starving. I'm sure Light, Strife, and Justyce are dying of hunger, he burns food faster than me. Um, let's not worry about food anymore. Let's see...Mary had a little lamb...mmm, lamb chops. Um, okay, sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye, four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie...okay, bad choice...
Light landed first, on the front lawn of Capsule Corp. and knocked on the door. A very pretty young lady with blue-green hair answered the door. She looked him over and smiled, "Hi! What can I do for you?"
Light scratched the back of his head, "Um, is there anybody with the name Vegeta here?"
The girl shrugged, "Me, my mother, my father, my brother..."
Justyce cut her off, "What's your father's name, er, his full name?"
"This is gonna sound wierd, but it's Vegeta Vegeta. Who are you?" Strife stepped forward and explained their situation.
When he finished, the girl just stood there, with her jaw open. Was it true? Could three of these visitors be related to her? She shook away some of the disbelief. "Come on in. Oh, by the way, my name is Bra."
Another girl with black hair came out of the kitchen, "Bra, who was at the--oh!" If, Bra had simply looked him over, this new girl was practically undressing Light with her eyes. "Hi!" Bra looked at Justyce.
"This is Pan, one of my best friends."
Light took her hand and shook it gently, "Hi, Pan. My name is Light. Light Vegeta." Pan looked like she was going to fall over.
"What? Your name is WHAT?" asked Pan.
"Light Vegeta. This is my brother, Justyce Vegeta, my sister, Life Vegeta, my best friend, Strife Kandias, and his sister, Fyre Kandias."
Pan sat down on the couch in disbelief, beside Bra, who had done the same after letting the group in. "You're...Saiyajins?"
Light scratched his head, now filled with golden hair. "Yep."
Bra had enough, "Um, Dad! Can you come down here!" she yelled upstairs. Vegeta slowly came down the stairs after a while.
"Yes?" he asked, before seeing the young Super Saiyajin. "Who are you?"
"Are you Vegeta Vegeta?" asked Justyce, who had also brought his hair out.
"Yeah. You still didn't answer my question. Who the hell are you?"
"My name is Justyce Vegeta, I'm the son of Cyran Vegeta."
"That's my uncle's name...where is he?!"
"He's dead...and any of the remaining Saiyajins will be too, unless we do something."
"Dead? Who killed him?"
"Matrijins." At the sound of that word, Vegeta, too, slumped onto the couch.
"Matrijins?" he asked, all color sapped from his face.
"Yeah," said Strife, proceedingg to fill Vegeta in on the last night's events, as well as how they came to be on this planet, way out in the Boonies of outer space. Vegeta was quiet. After a while he finally spoke.
"So, you're General Zanthos Kandias' brats?" he asked, looking at Strife and Fyre.
"Yes, sir," replied Strife almost military like. Light had never seen his happy-go-lucky friend like this unless his father was disciplining him. Vegeta smiled.
"You don't have to act like that here," he said.
"But you're the Prince of the Saiyajins," Strife said.
"Not here he's not," said another woman, who looked much like the one sitting on the couch, staring at them as if they were a dream.
"Hmph," was Vegeta's reply. This new woman walked over to him and kissed him. Bra, who had finally gathered herself, spoke again.
"This is my mom, Bulma. Mom...uh, these are our cousins...well, those three are..." she said, indicating Justyce, Light, and Life. Bulma's eyes widened, and Light feared that she may faint, but then she rushed toward him, Was she attacking? Before he could figure out what to do she grabbed him in a huge bearhug, lifting him off his feet. He was 330 lbs and she lifted him off his feet, Was she a Saiyajin, too? Bulma set him back down suddenly and scooped up Life in the same hug. Little Lifey, as he called her, was only 145 lbs, muscle, even though like most teenage girls she thought she was the fattest creature on Earth. The she turned to Justyce, This I wanna see, Justyce is 380, he thought. She hugged him, but couldn't quite get him up. Didn't think so.
Then she turned to Strife, "And who is this handsome young man?"
Strife, forever calm and suave, answered, "Strife Kandias, ma'am." Light chuckled, That's the Strife I know. He probably would have kissed her hand if Vegeta hadn't been so...big. Not tall, as Strife, at about 6'4", was a little taller, but muscular. This guy's muscles rivaled rocks in hardness, and there were alot of them. He could twist Strife's head off like a peanut butter lid.
"And this pretty young lady is...?"
"My sister, Fyre."
"You're not wondering why there are five new Saiyajins in your living room?" Pan asked Bulma.
"Well, they're either from the future...or something else."
Light spoke, "We're from this timeline." He told Bulma everything that they had just told Vegeta, Bra, and Pan, the two young girls looked grateful for the secondexplanationn. Bulma, who was very intelligent, seemed to understand the first time. The door burst open.
"Hey, Bra! Pan! Wanna go get some lun--who the hell are they?" Another person with colored hair, but they recognized this one, Trunks Briefs, the President of Capsule Corp.
"Hey, Trunks what happen--oh, who are you?" a guy with unruly black hair said.
Strife rolled his eyes, "I've heard that question a few times too many today," he muttered to Light.
"Tell me about it."
"I just did."
Justyce looked around, "Who's turn is it to explain?"
Life held up her hand, "I'll do it." She spoke fast, pausing only to breathe.
When she was finished Goten looked from Light to Trunks and back. "You know, you two do look a lot alike. Almost twins, except for the fact that he's like ten years younger than you."
Light blinked, "Huh? He only looks about twenty. I'm only 19, as she said, yesterday was my birthday."
Trunks shook his head, this kid didn't grasp the way Saiyajins age. "I'm 30. We Saiyajins don't age the way humans do...the process is slower."
"Then how old is Bulma, because she looks pretty young too."
From the background, they heard Bulma say, "Thank you, but NEVER ASK MY AGE AGAIN!!"
"Um, Yes ma'am." Light checked his pockets, finding his wallet. "I'm starving, I'm gonna go get something to eat."
Life perked up, "Finally! Damn, you weren't hungry before now?"
"Yeah, but there was a more important matter at hand. What about you Justyce?"
Justyce had sat on the couch beside Pan with his head in his hands. "I'm fine."
"Well, I'm hungry," Strife said, "What about you, Fyre?" She just nodded.
"Well, you can come with us," Trunks offered.
"Come back directly afterward. If the Matrijins are coming, we'll need to train," Vegeta said.
"Thanks, but--"
"Get in the car, Light."
"Hmmm," Light groaned. Is this family love, or charity? Or worse yet, pity?
Life pushed him into the car and sat down between him and Fyre in the hoverlimousinee that popped out of the capsule that Trunks had thrown. It even had a robotic driver. "Well, we can't show up at a drive through in this kind of ride, now can we?" Trunks said, after telling the driver to go to an expense restaurant.
Light looked worried when he said that, "Uh, Trunks, you don't have to do this."
Trunks looked at him with a gleam in his eye, "I know, but I want to. You probably understand what it's like to have very few relatives, I'm glad to have this chance."
"Hmm," Light nodded. Life had been squeezing his hand for a while now, he's just noticed it. It was an anxious and nervous squeeze, like when he held her hand while crossing the street, but there was something else there, a strange comfort. His little sister was trying to comfort him. He smiled at her and noticed that she was also comforting Fyre, who had no one but Strife left. Fyre was smiling bravely, and beautifully might I add. Oh, God, where did that come from. I mean she's cute, but--
Liar. The second voice in his head was his second personality, not that he was aschizoc, but it helped to have a second opinion sometimes. You think she's hot. She's not the dimpled schoolgirl that was always smiling and wanting to tag along with you and Strife anymore.
That's true, the second part anyway.
The first too. Just admit it and we can end this.
Fine, if it'll shut our crazy ass up, yeah i think she's a fucking hot ass, alright?
I'm satisfied.
Hmm, I just hope that she doesn't put our hands together, I'll be blushing like a schoolgirl.
She will too. Don't you remember?
That was a long time ago, and Life told me to forget that she said that.
It was last week, and since when do you let your little sister tell you what to do? You never thought about it because you like her too don't you?
No.
Liar, I know you...I am you.
Then Light realized what he was doing. I'm arguing with myself.
No shit.
Shut up. Then the conversation ended because Light blocked out the other troublemaker in his head.
