He stood on the same cliff he had overlooked one year ago when he, his friends, Fyre and Strife, and his siblings, Justyce and Life, first battled the Matrijins, one year ago. He was looking out at the night sky, particularly the moon. Light was his name, Light Illious Vegeta. He knew that the moon gave the Saiyajins their animalistic urges, like the urge to kill, the urge to hunt, and right now, the one he was feeling, the urge to mate. He groaned, as he had felt that urge all day.
He and Strife were moving into an apartment that they were going to share. They planned this ever since they were about fourteen. Now, Light and Strife were moving into a building across town from Capsule Corp., four blocks away from the building Justyce moved into almost six months ago. Damn, had it been that long? Anyway, Juuanna, Gohan, Trunks, Strife, Life, Justyce, Marron, Fyre, and himself were doing physical work, while Bra, Pan, Videl, and Bulma had prepared lunch for about seven or eight hungry Saiyajins and two hungry humans. Anyway, Light had been watching Fyre bend over, and reach for things all day, so, as I said, Light was suppressing the urge to rip off her clothes and throw her on his bed. Now, he just wanted to be alone...his was around his loved ones all day, and he just wanted to be alone. He looked at his watch, "Damn! 10:30 already!" Light took to the air, flying back toward the city.
Light walked through the door of his apartment to find Strife on the couch with Life and Fyre, the room dark, watching some movie...well, Fyre was watching the movie anyway. Strife and Life were more interested in each other. What the hell are you doing? Strife m-mailed him. Light sighed as he remembered the side effect of a botched fusion one year ago.
Coming home, why?
Well, take Fyre and beat it.
I've been moongazing, Strife.
There was a pause as Strife thought about which urge Light was referring to, Damn it, so have we...all of us.
Strife...
Yeah?
Remember that's my sister...and Justyce's...and Vegeta's cousin...and Cyran's daughter...
Well, Fyre is my sister and Zanthos' daughter, but you don't see me trying to scare you.
Light sat down beside Fyre and put his arm around her. The moon is getting to me, he thought when her perfume hit his nostrils. Her looked at her, the light from the TV lighting up her features. She was beautiful...stunningly beautiful. He kissed her forehead, then her cheek, then her neck. Finally, he nibbled on her ear and she let out a soft moan, "Light...have you been moongazing?"
"Mm-hmm," Light said, still kissing her neck and ears.
"Well, then stop," she said, squirming, as she loved when her ears and neck were kissed or nibbled, "I have too and we don't need two horny Saiyajins around..." they both looked at Strife and Life, who were still making out on the other end of the couch, "Well, four horny Saiyajins, anyway." Strife's middle finger came out from under Life's shirt, where it was going for her bra strap. Fyre looked back at Light, the glow from the television made him look almost godlike, Damned moon. She couldn't stand it, if she didn't get away from him he was going to end up hurting him, in a good way, a VERY good way. She stood and walked out of the room, into the kitchen. Light watched her go, her hips switching noticibly. He felt something pulling him out of his place, his animal instinct.
This is too much, he thought as he was 'dragged' into the kitchen and directly to Fyre. He grabbed her from behind and nibbled her ear again slightly, feeling her knees go weak. "I love you," He whispered into her ear.
"I love you, too, Light," she said, turning in his embrace and kissing him. "I'm tired. I want you to sleep with me." Light gave her a look.
"I won't try anything if you won't," Light said, smiling coyly and flipping a braid out of his eye.
"I'm serious, Light...and don't look at me like that. Nothing freaky, I just want to be held all night." Light nibbled her ear again. "Promise me you won't do that again tonight."
"Why?"
"Because, if you do, I'll end up breaking my own rule," Fyre responded smiling.
Light held her tighter and kissed her passionately, "What about that?" Fyre shook her head. "Damn, I'm too sexy for my own good." Now, this apartment had two bedrooms, and he and Strife hadn't had the chance to pick; there was just a bed in each. He and Fyre were going into one, and got the door closed in their faces for their trouble. "Okay, then we'll try the other one."
Fyre went in first and changed into her pajamas, then she let Light change as she waited outside, both knowing if they saw each other even remotely naked, they just say screw the rule, and then screw each other. He called her back in, and she crawled into bed next to him, wiggled under his arm and buried her head in his chest and slept. Light leaned down and kissed her forehead. He heard a bump from Strife's room, like a headboard hitting a wall. He decided that he was afraid to check out Strife's thoughts, and settled down for a night of peaceful sleep. As he drifted off, he heard another loud sound, and sighed.
Strife woke up to the sound of a hammer hitting metal...hard. It was torture to Saiyajin ears. He tuned it out and noticed that Life was gone as he put on his pajama bottoms before leaving the bedroom. The source of the racket was Bulma, Trunks, and Gohan, building something in the one extra room they had and talking in strange tech talk. I wish Light was here to tell me what they were saying. He understands this stuff better than me. What are they building?
A gravity room, Light replied.
In that little room? asked Strife.
Yah, amazing, huh?
Why so early?
So they'll be finished by noon.
Oh, ok. Where are you?
Light's head popped up from the couch across the room from Strife, On the couch.
"I see that, now, Light," Strife said, walking over to join them. They sat on the couch watching the Saturday morning cartoons, as they all did normally because they were still kids at heart...hell, they were still kids period. They did this until noon when Bulma emerged hugged them all, said goodbye, and left. About an hour later, they heard the thumps and grunts as Trunks and Gohan were still inside. Light opened the door and the gravity deactivated. Gohan and Trunks flew up, hit the ceiling, and fell to the floor in a heap. Gohan got up and dusted himself off.
"Uh, sorry. We were just testing it for you," said Gohan, rubbing the sore spot on his head and chuckling nervously.
"Uh...yeah! Exactly!" said Trunks, waving his hands and backing away. Light was hotheaded, but he wouldn't hurt his friends...much. Gohan looked at his watch.
"Aah! I have to get changed for work, but I only have...3 minutes!" Gohan ran out the door, and took to the air, going toward his home.
"Mom wouldn't be that pissed if he was a little late," Trunks said. Gohan was working for Capsule Corp., and Trunks just took a day off, letting his mom have some fun at the company. Gohan was only gone thirty minutes when they heard five familiar voices talking of how it was a huge coincidence to all show up here at the same time. Strife walked over and opened the door for Justyce, Marron, Goten, Bra, and Pan.
"Hey, Strife," said Marron, pinching Strife's cheeks as she had grown accustomed to doing to he and Light. They all walked in and, eventually, the Saiyajins ended up in the gravity room as Marron just went into the room occupied with super reinforced heavy bags and speed bags. She started beating the bag around, as the Saiyajins next beat the hell out of each other...
"BURNING ATTACK!!" Trunks screamed as the attack rushed toward Light who spread his arms out wide and took the blast. "What! Light are you nuts?!" Trunks screamed flying into the smoke that resulted when his cousin had taken the blast. Light stood there smirking. Trunks let out a sigh of relief. Then, on one of the walls, a large green glow appeared. It opened into a large portal, through which a swordsman wearing a black cape and armor walked. He had long silver hair and green eyes that seemed to glow. When he came through everyone froze.
"Wh-who are you?" Light asked, thinking of the Matrijins a year ago.
The swordsman drew his weapon, a long katana with a wicked curve to it, and got into a defensive crouch, "I am Sephiroth, a Cetra." Light struggled to think of were he heard that before, but Sephiroth spoke again before he could, "Your people, the Saiyajins, sold my people the Planet, that bore the human plague that forced us to move to yet another world." He smiled coldly, "I have been taking my anger out at the wrong people the whole time, killing countless humans, when who I should've been going after were the Saiyajins."
"How did you know we were here?" asked Justyce, a little disturbed both at the reminder of his space pirate heritage and the fact that they had been that easy to find.
Sephiroth seemed to relax a little, he shrugged, "Lucky guess." Without another word he launched himself at the group. Sword slashes met clothing and skin lightly. Light saw the blade flash in front of his face and cut the tips of four of his braids off. Then he held some sort of black rock up, "SUPER NOVA!!" They all tried to protect themselves as best they could as the power emitting from the rock engulfed them and caused much pain. The Saiyajins plunged out of the air and landed harshly on the reinforced steel floor. They all had different color hair and eyes when they fell, but when they rose to their feet, their hair and eyes seemed to become uniformed, blond and spiky with blue-green eyes. Light raised one hand with the other on the first's wrist, "DARK LIGHT!!" A black ball of energy shot at Sephiroth, causing little damage to him.
Light blinked, "What the hell...?" he breathed, in shock and awe. Then swordsman struck again.
"FIRE 3!!" he growled dangerously. Suddenly, everyone but Life, Fyre, Bra, and Pan went down screaming and writhing in pain. Marron came in, wondering what were all these new attacks she was hearing. The swordsman slashed her at an angle from left hip to right shoulder, drawing blood and throwing her back onto the couch, but not killing her. Life knew now what he was doing, he was strong enough to kill them all, with some trouble, but he could do it. Nah, he was trying to keep them alive. She couldn't get in close to him or he might have killed her, and ki blasts didn't work as he either took it and kept coming, or slashed it in half with the sword, as he did one of Fyre's new attacks, the Deep Burn. There was nothing they could do... Just then Sephiroth grabbed Life and Pan and beat their heads together. They slumped lifelessly to the ground. Fyre was simply slashed as Marron was, hitting her head against one of the metal walls and falling to earth also. The pain that had gone through Strife, Light, Trunks, Goten, and Justyce was subsiding, and their eyes focused to see Sephiroth ram the blade through Bra, just under her right shoulder. She fainted and Sephiroth threw her over his shoulder, and walked to the portal, "If you want your little Saiyajin slut, you'll come through this portal and find me." Then he was gone. Trunks, who had reverted back to normal, flared up to Super Saiyajin again. Light did also. Strife mumbled to himself, "Never screw with a Saiyajin's family..." Strife and Justyce, who was also pissed, but was a calmer person, revived the girls with senzu beans and they all stood before the portal.
"He has Bra..." Goten said, slowly.
"Yeah..." Trunks responded.
"...Light...you're the leader..." Life said.
"You don't need to look to me to know what must be done," Light said, his was the only voice unwavering. Strife nodded and leaped through the hole in the wall. "That's the spirit," Light said, following. The others looked at each other, and reflexively held their breaths as the leaped through the green portal, which closed behind them...
When Strife opened his eyes, he was aware of a few things:
1. He was now outside,
2. He was under some number of people,
3. Some of them were Saiyajin, and finally,
4. Saiyajins were heavy.
"Gib ouffa ee!"
Everyone piled off of him and turned to see a group of people looking angrily at them. The leader was a guy with spiky blond hair. Light, still in a daze, looked at the man and said what he half expected to be true, "Another Saiyajin? Damn, did Frieza kill any of them?"
An older blond guy glared at him, "The hell is a 'Saiyajin'?"
The spiky haired blond spoke, "It doesn't matter, they came through with Sephiroth."
Light now assumed these guys were with Sephiroth and lost all patience, "Where did he take the blue-haired girl?"
"Why do you care?" a busty brunette snapped.
"She's my cousin, that's why," Light said, his voice a growl, and his expression a sneer of hatred.
"You'd do that to your own family?" another girl with light brown hair said. The first brunette ran at him, her fist cocked. Just before she struck him, he blurred from sight and ended up beside where he was before, where she was now, and elbowed her in the back of her head. She took five stumbling steps and fell, siding on her stomach, making a trench.
"Tifa!!" the blond man cried, then he looked at Light, "OMNISLASH!!" Light flared to Super Saiyajin 2 as the man's ki rose and he drew the huge buster sword on his back. The man rushed at Light, the sword glowing all sorts of colors. Light charged his trademark black ki into his hands and forearms and blocked as the man tried to slash him repeatedly, a total of eighteen times. The man swung the massive sword again and Light knocked it out of his hands. The man held out his fists and screamed, "ULTIMA!!" Light blocked again as the spell hit him. Now, he was tired, pissed, and worried. He walked over to the man and picked him up by his neck, "I'll only ask once. Where did your boss take the blue-haired girl?!"
The man spoke in a strangled voice, "Whaddya mean my boss, you're the one working for Seph."
"Cloud!!" the light brown haired girl cried.
Cloud looked at her and managed to say, "I'm okay, Aeris. Go help Tifa."
The older man looked at him, "Put him down ya shitfaced, retarded asshole." This man was holding a pike and smoking a cigarette. Light heard Trunks growl behind him. He turned his attention back to Cloud.
"If you don't work for Sephiroth, why did you simply call him Seph? And why didn't you stop him when you saw him carrying an unconscious girl? And why did you attack us?" He saw that Cloud was turning purple and couldn't answer him, and set him down.
"I called him Seph because we used to be friends, and then we were enemies, and then he killed her," he pointed at Aeris, "and then I killed him. And we thought the girl was dead, and as for attacking you, we thought you were with him."
"Oh, this world has dragonballs too? Is that how you brought them back?" Strife asked, he had been containing Trunks the whole time.
"'Dragonballs?' What--No! We used an Revive materia, and we didn't bring him back...he sorta caught a ride with her."
"What's a materia?" Trunks realized that they were not to blame and had returned to normal.
"What planet are you from?" the older man, who Cloud identified as Cid asked.
"What planet is this?" Fyre asked, honestly wondering.
"Um...it's the Planet," said Aeris, returning with a dazed Tifa.
"That figures," said Light, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "We're on another planet....that makes perfect sense."
"Well, um, if you're from another planet, you can come stay with us and we can take out Sephiroth together. I just want one thing," Tifa said, eyeing Light.
"What's that?" Light asked.
"You gotta train with me."
"No problem," responded Light, smiling.
"Cloud, we should head back to Seventh Heaven," Tifa said, "I left a seven year old serving alcohol under the supervision of a pain in the ass ninja and some sort of vampire." Light blinked and she turned to him, "It's a long story."
Cloud was resheathing the Ultima Weapon and nodded, "Let's mosey."
"Damn it! If you say that one more time I'll stick Venus Gospel up yer ass!" Cid said.
"Reminds me a little of dad and Vegeta...when dad was around that is," Goten said.
"Yeah, Cid and Vegeta might get along, if Vegeta gets along with anyone but Bulma, Cyran, and Zanthos," said Pan.
"Vegeta gets along with mom?!" Trunks said, in a joking manner.
"Hmm...follow us," Aeris said, as she, Tifa, Cloud, and Cid walked down the street toward a bar. The Next Gen walked into Tifa's Seventh Heaven Inn and Tavern, and, sure enough, there was a seven year old behind the counter mixing drinks like a pro.
"That's pretty damn funny," Light said, suppressing a chuckle. Cloud waved them over to a corner of the room where there was a pinball machine. They came over and stood with him. Suddenly, they were going down. It was an elevator. Downstairs, there was a room with a big screen TV, a couch, a table, refrigerator...it was like an underground apartment except without beds. Everyone, except for the one named Cid, who was sitting on the couch, watching something on TV, was around the table. Cloud introduced them.
"This is Yuffie Kisaragi," Yuffie waved, "Vincent Valentine," Vincent nodded, "Barrett Wallace," Barrett grunted and went back to what he was doing, "and you know Tifa Lockheart," she smiled, "and Aeris Gainsborough," Aeris smiles sweetly and waves, "Cid Highwind," Cid waved his hand and continued watching television, "and I'm Cloud Strife," Cloud bows slightly. "There's two more in our group, Zack Govanda (*Author's Note: I may have screwed up in the game, but I never learned Zack's last name, so I made one up), and Red XIII, or Nanaki, who is in Cosmo Canyon right now. Where is Zack anyway?"
Just then, a guy with similar hairstyle, except his hair was black, and dress as Cloud runs in, "Yo, sorry I'm late I--who the hell is that?" Zack walks over to Pan and introduces himself, "Hi, I'm Zack. Zack Govanda. And you are..."
"Son Pan," Pan answered, a little nervous. Zack kissed her hand, then he kissed Trunks' hand...the hard way. Zack sailed over the couch and almost landed on Cid. He looked at the purple haired guy who decked him and says, "It was just a joke...I did it to piss her off," he said, pointing at Aeris.
"Hmph," Aeris said, turning her back to him. Light couldn't help but laugh at this, he didn't know why but the mixup was just funny. Trunks gave him a look and Light abruptly stopped laughing.
"Where are my manners?" Light said, composing himself, "My name is Light Vegeta. This is my cousin, Trunks Vegeta Briefs, Son Pan, Son Goten, Marron Kylo (*Author's Note: Okay, I looked and couldn't find her last name either. If you know, e-mail it to me so I can change it), my brother, Justyce Vegeta, my best friend, Strife Kandias, and his sister, Fyre Kandias, and my sister, Life Vegeta."
Strife and Cloud looked at each other, "We have the same name." "Your first name is my last name," Cloud said.
"Your last name is my first name," Strife said.
Light was already tired and worried about Bra, he didn't need this, "Strife..."
Both looked at him, "Yes!"
Light threw up his hands and sat on the couch, he sighed, "Fuck it."
"Light, don't worry. We'll find Bra," Trunks said, "We won't give up on her, man."
"Yeah, I know. We're Next Gen right? Nah, I'm just worried that bastard is gonna kill her or worse...." Light blinked, "She might end up like..."
"Shana?" asked Fyre, slidding down beside Light. He only nodded. She kissed him and looked into his eyes, "She's my friend. And she can fight. She might even have gotten away from him and is trying to find us."
"You're not too good a liar, Fyre," Light said, grimacing at his girlfriend, "We both know that Seph coulda killed us back there...we need to train...and hard. I just wish we had a gravity room--"
"Will a G-Room Capsule do?" Trunks asked digging in the pocket of his pants and producing a capsule.
"Hmph, I guess that means the gauntlet is cast," Cloud said. "Hmm, I'd like to train in one of these gravity rooms."
"Me too," Tifa said.
"Well, you did want me to workout with you, didn't you?" Light asked, returning to his usual smirking self. "Where can I crash for a hour or two? I'm really tired."
Tifa looked at him and nodded, "Yeah, upstairs. Uh, third room on the left." He rose and walked to the elevator. Fyre noticed Tifa glancing at his butt as he walked and groaned. That was the reaction Saiyajin men had on women of any race. She remembered when Light and Strife came to their school and waited for she and Life to finish volleyball practice. After practice, all the girls swarmed around them. Word quickly got around that Light, the hunk with braided hair, was related to Trunks, the heartthrob of every young girl who'd ever seen him, and that those two, plus the one with green eyes all lived at Capsule Corporation, where Life, Fyre, and Bra lived too, let's just say that there was never a bigger high school slumber party than at Capsule Corp. during those weekends during school. It was during those parties that they saw Justyce, the older brother of Light. For some reason, they thought this older hunk was even cuter. Fyre sighed. That was why Justyce, Light, and Strife decided to move out, so they wouldn't draw women to Capsule Corp. at all hours of the night. More than usual anyway.
Strife looked at Tifa, for he saw the look she gave him, "Is there anywhere I can rest, too?" Tifa turned to him.
Tifa looked thoughtful, "Let's see, there's nine of you...we have three extra rooms...three in each room...plus your friend..."
Aeris spoke looking up her tea, "Tifa, just give him a room...and don't think so much."
"You calling me dumb?" Tifa smiled. Everyone could now tell they were joking.
"Yeah, what you gonna do about it?" Aeris' answer came in Tifa jumping over the table and rolling around with Aeris on the floor. Shouts of "Damn it!", and "Slut!" came from the scrapping girls. Strife blinked.
"What the hell kind of sparring is that?" he asked.
They stopped and looked at him. "We're just playing...Aeris is like a sister to me," Tifa said. Strife's mouth formed an "o". "Oh, yeah. You can room with Light."
"That's not good, we'll end up doing what you two were doing, Saiyajin-style," Strife said, charging up his left fist, making it glow.
"Whoa! Cool! I gotta get Light to teach me that!" Tifa cried, "You can crash in the room next to his."
Strife nodded, said "Thanks," and went to the elevator. Once upstairs, he turned and up another set of stairs, and into the area that made up the "inn" in Tifa's Seventh Heaven Inn and Tavern. He walked past Light's room and stopped. He backed up and looked into the room. His friend was crying...he was looking out the window, but Strife could tell he was crying. He knew why, he was worried about Bra. Strife himself was feeling a sick at the thought of Sephiroth slicing her, or running her through with that damn sword, or...forcing himself on her. The taste of bile in his mouth took him away from his thoughts, as he wondered if he was gonna hurl right then and there. He started walking toward his room again.
"Hmm?" Light grunted as he heard someone behind him. He wiped away his tears and turned to see no one. "Bah," he groaned and turned back to the window, the tears coming again. Bra, I'm sorry. We'll bring you back, I swear, he thought.
Don't worry about us, boy. I'll keep her alive...even if only barely. In fact, she could probably occupy me for a while. The voice that came from inside his head said. It was a voice that was familiar, but hated. Sephiroth.
Why are you in my head, you sick fuck?! Touch her and I'll kill you!! You hear me?! Sephiroth?! SEPHIROTH??!! Light's mind screamed. The last of this message was also screamed aloud. Strife ran into the room as a Super Saiyajin, followed by Cloud and Zack, both with wet stains on their clothes.
"What's your damn problem?" Strife asked, as his hair and eyes returned to their normal colors.
"Sephiroth was in my mind," Light said flatly.
"Been there, done that," Cloud said.
Light gave him a quizzical look, but then asked, "What happened to you two?"
"You interrupted a beer drinking contest," Zack said, frowning at the wet spot in his lap.
"Yeah, one I was winning," said Cloud.
"In your dreams," they heard Zack say as both walked down the hallway and downstairs.
You're stronger than Cloud was, but, make no mistake about it, I will break you, Sephiroth's voice came into his mind once more.
Yah, and I'm an Oozaru, Light thought as he lay down and fell into a dreamless sleep.
"Okay, Aeris, fine. Yes, I think he's cute. Are you happy now?" Tifa exclaimed in an exasperated voice. They were sitting in the kitchen alone, talking and eating breakfast the next day. Aeris had been asking her what she thought of their visitors, especially Light, as she noticed Tifa checking him out at least twice. Now Aeris just smirked, "That's all I asked. Now, me, I prefer Justyce..."
"Prefer me for what?" asked Justyce, coming in shirtless. He had been training in that gravity room with Strife, Trunks, Pan, Life, Marron, and Goten. Fyre went to Wall Market with Yuffie and Zack, and Light was still asleep. Justyce made himself a glass of water.
"Oh, nothing," Aeris said, smiling sweetly.
"Hmm," Justyce gave her a look, downed his water, refilled, downed it again, and walked out.
Tifa followed her eyes and smiled, "You're not as sweet and innocent as everyone thinks."
"Oh? Why?"
"Because you were looking at his butt."
Aeris shrugged, "It's nice." She giggled.
"What's so funny?" Strife asked as he walked in, pulling his t-shirt on, and getting his own water and sitting at the table with them.
"So, you guys said you were from...where?" Tifa asked.
"Earth. Satan City to be exact."
"No, I remember that...where did you say YOU were from?"
"Oh...Vegetasei. All our families are from Vegetasei, except for Marron, she's human."
"Hmm, what is you race's name again?"
"We're Saiyajins."
Aeris asked a question now, "Yesterday, you said Saiyajins had tails...where are yours? Did you have them cut off to fit in?"
Strife laughed, "You're full of questions. No, they disappear after transforming into a Super Saiyajin for the first time."
"'Super Saiyajin?' That's the thing were you turn blond, right?"
"Yeah. Most Saiyajins have black hair and dark eyes, when we transform, we get more powerful and our hair turns blond and our eyes turns bluish-green."
Tifa spoke again, "But Trunks' hair is purple and he has blue eyes. And Fyre has red hair and both you and she have green eyes."
Strife shrugged, "Yeah, red hair and green eyes are the Saiyajin's recessive traits and Trunks is a Demi-Saiyajin, meaning he's not a full Saiyajin. His hair and eyes come from his mother. She looks a lot like the girl Sephiroth took." They heard a loud thump from upstairs. "Light's up." The two young women looked at him. "Oh, he does that all the time, he rolls out of bed, hit the ground, screams 'Damn it! I did it again!'--"
"DAMN IT! I DID IT AGAIN!!"
"--and goes and gets in the shower," Strife finished. He noticed the looks they gave him, "Hey, he's my best friend." Both women's mouths formed "o's".
"I don't think he has any towels up there," Tifa said, getting up and heading for the stairs.
Aeris turned to Strife, "She runs this place almost by herself. She only has Marlene and a girl named, Adeline, who lives in town."
"Hmm, if we stick around, we'll help her."
"I'm sure she'll appreciate that."
When Bra awoke, she realized two things were wrong:
1. There was a hole in her shoulder
2. She was in a cave Then, she remembered what happened. That guy, Sephiroth...he stabbed me and-- She groaned as a pain shot through her body.
The shadows in one corner if the cave moved and rose, revealing long silvery hair, tied back into a flowing ponytail. Sephiroth turned to face her and smiled, "You're awake, my dear."
"What have you done to my friends?" Bra asked, getting a little worried.
"They have either killed or have been captured by Cloud and his band of misfits."
"Hmm, well it seems your friend Cloud and his boys are dead, because neither Trunks or Light does anything halfway."
"Come here."
"Hell no!"
"Get over here, woman!" Sephiroth growled, holding up a yellow rock similar to the black one he held up when he hit them with the Super Nova. She rushed at him, but before she got there the stone flashed and Sephiroth's ki flared. Oh, shit. She slowed and then stopped altogether. Her arms were pulled to her sides, even as she fought to move them. Sephiroth smirked at her, "Manipulative materia...gotta love it." He beckoned her with one finger and, try as she might to do otherwise, she obliged. He leaned down and whispered into her ear, "You and I are going to have fun together." He touched her in a way that, when done by Goten, would've normally made her giggle, now she wanted to scream. Sephiroth angled to her face and kissed her lips. She wanted to hurl. He hands went under her shirt and up to her breasts, and a tear dropped from her eye. "One your knees, woman."
Oh, God please. No. . .
Tifa walked into the bathing room above Seventh Heaven. Someone was taking a shower, a really hot one, judging from the amount of steam. It was a man, and since the others, except for her, Aeris, Strife, and Light, were doing some sort of training that narrowed down the field. She just left Aeris and Strife and she'd never known Vincent to bathe (Funny, he didn't stink, either. In fact, just the opposite. Vincent smelled quite nice.), so it was Light. Strife did know his friend alright. She walked over to the curtains which cast a silhouette. She remembered Strife saying Saiyajins had tails...but he also said they disappeared after the first transformation. Damn, that's not a tail. "Um...Light?"
"Yes, Tifa?"
"I brought you some towels to dry with."
"Thanks." Light shut off the water and stepped out before he realized what he'd done and that Tifa was still there. "Aaahhh!! Sorry!" He held a face towel in front of him. Tifa walked to the door, stopped, and turned around, her cheeks a deep red.
"Oh, and Light...that towel is too small." Tifa turned and walked out, leaving him alone.
Light looked down, blushing slightly, "Aw, man."
Light dressed and came downstairs, "What's up?"
"Sephiroth's somewhere in the mountains...near Nibelheim," Cloud said, frowning, "Last time he was there, he burned the place to the ground." Cloud dropped his head and tried to blink back the tears in his eyes. Light gave Zack a look.
"He and Tifa grew up there," Zack said, solemnly.
"Hmm," Light almost grunted. Cloud's head came back up to face Light.
"He's supposed to have a blue-haired warrior girl with him as well,"
"I'll rip his heart out if he's harmed her," Goten growled.
"You're not the only one, Trunks and Justyce said simultaneously.
"I thought me and Strife were supposed to be the hot-headed ones."
"It's time for us to start acting childish," Justyce responded icily.
"Finally, someone acts like--hey! We're not childish!!" Strife cried, loudly.
"Yeah, you are," Fyre replied coolly.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Are not times infinity times infinity!!" Light said, sticking his tongue out at his girlfriend. This got a laugh out of everyone. "Nibelheim, eh? I'm not even gonna pretend like I know where that is, but if that sick bastard has my cousin there, we're going."
"Not today," Cid told them, "I've got cargo to run, gotta go see Shera, an then pick up Red. By that time, it'll be about midnight."
Light frowned, "Can't it wait?!"
"Hell, no! I've had this job probably longer than you've been alive."
"That would make you...what? Really old?"
Cid drew the Venus Gospel on Light, "Don't screw with me, kid. You'll end up with the shaft of a spear stickin' out of yer ass."
Light smirked, the Vegeta family look of general belligerence came over him. It was the thrill of a fight, "Hmph." He knew he could take anyone but the vampire, Cloud, Tifa, or Zack without too much trouble and he wouldn't be able to bring himself to hit cute, sweet Aeris, much less kill her.
"Don't worry 'bout it, Light. We'll be out there kickin' Seph's ass again tomorrow," Barrett said.
"Yah, we'll get that bastard," Trunks said. Pan was a little startled to turn to him and see Vegeta, or Trunks looking frightening like Vegeta.
"Next Gen sticks together," said Justyce, giving Marron a gasp as he looked like Cyran. In fact, all the young Saiyajins looked like their parents, Light was especially frightening like this, as the only difference between he and his father was that Light didn't have a widow's peak, and Cyran didn't have braided hair.
"Calm down, everyone," Aeris reasoned, "You still can't leave until Cid gets back."
Light floated in the air, "Why wait?"
"You're gonna teach me that!" Tifa said quickly.
"Mm hmm," Light grunted. Strife and Goten appeared beside him and pulled him back to the ground.
"Light, chill," Strife said, placing a calming hand on Light's shoulder. "Take a day, do some training, maybe we'll be Super Saiyajin 4 when we face Sephiroth."
Light closed his as he said the next words out of his mouth, "Tifa, come with me." Tifa nodded and followed him to the door, where he turned and nodded to Strife and left. He took her out to a secluded field out of the city and stopped.
This is where Tifa spoke next, "Why did you nod to Strife on the way out?"
Light, who's anger had subsided a little, raised an eyebrow at her, "You're been thinking about that this whole time?" She nodded and he laughed, "Okay, there's this technique we have called fusion, it makes two warriors into one that is more powerful than either of them. It takes very precise movements and concentration...we weren't very good at it. So, when we tried to do it in battle, we screwed up. It fused us like it was supposed to, but now, as a side effect, we can talk to each other with our minds, we can also read each others thoughts. It's weird sometimes. That brings up some questions I have, like, what's AVALANCHE's history with Sephiroth?"
Tifa sighed, "It was about a year and a half ago, when I met up with Barrett and joined his group trying stop Shinra--the old Shinra, not the one that Reeve runs now--from taking all the Mako energy from the planet. Mako is the planet's life force. It's what runs in the Life stream, where all the souls of the planet goes. Then a while later, Barrett said he was hiring a merc, an ex-SOLDIER. He was to meet him at the first reactor we were ever going to destroy...I think it was the one in Sector 1. Anyway, they came back and guess who the merc was...Cloud. You see, Cloud and I grew up together in Nibelheim, but one day he left to join SOLDIER, the elite of the Shinra army that are infused with Mako to make them stronger. It also makes their eyes glow."
"Were Zack and Sephiroth SOLDIERs too?"
"Yeah, that's where Zack and Cloud met. Even though we grew up together, he and I weren't good friends until a little while before he left (*Author's Note: It's been two years since I played the damn game. Don't get flame me for not getting something right here, alright?). Anyway, he joined AVALANCHE, but then, while attacking the Sector 5 reactor, I think it was Sector 5, we were attacked by some metal monster. We destroyed it, but the bridge collapsed and Cloud fell through. I thought he was dead, but I didn't really believe it. I mean, Cloud is a survivor, for him to die like that...impossible. He was alive, too. He landed in the Sector 7 slums, that's where he met Aeris. She asked him if he would be her bodyguard and he said yes. But then the Turks, well, Reno and some Shinra soldiers, showed up and tried to take her to Dr. Hojo. At the time, she didn't know why. Cloud protected her and then walked her home. Then, he met her mother, Elymra. After a while, they ended up in a playground and saw us drive by headed to Wall Market (*Note: If I'm wrong, tell me where they were headed). We regrouped and dressed Cloud like a woman and then myself, Aeris, and Cloud went into Don Corneo's mansion to get some info. Hehehe, that guy tried to have sex with Cloud. Some guy took Aeris and we went to Shinra Corporation's building in Midgar and fought our way through the entire building and up to the president's office, along the way saving Aeris and Red. We found president Shinra dead, with Masamune, Sephiroth's sword sticking out of his back. We went out onto a helipad and met up with Rufus, who Cloud faced alone, while Aeris, Barrett, and Red were fighting some robot that showed up while they were in the elevator. I found a truck and everyone but Cloud got in, Cloud showed up on a bike and covered us as we tried to get out of Midgar. A big armored car showed up and we fought with that for a while. After we destroyed it, we then went on the search for Sephiroth. The rest of the year we spent chasing Sephiroth all over the globe, it's all a blur to me now...I guess my mind tried to block it all out," Tifa said, frowning at the flashes that her mind gave her of last years events.
"The only thing I remember is the City of the Ancients...Aeris was praying...Cloud was under Sephiroth's control, he ordered Cloud to kill Aeris...he almost did. He stopped at the last second, Sephiroth's control over him ended, but while he was trying to shake it off and make sense of what happened, Seph came out of nowhere...with that damned sword...he dropped from above Aeris and stuck the sword through her...she died. She was smiling until the end," she wiped away a tear, "Then, after that, the only thing I remember is the fight in the crater where Cloud, myself, and Barrett (Note: This is who I beat Sephiroth with) defeated him and sent him into the Lifestream. That ended the nightmare of death that we had been living...until now. Cloud heard a legend of a forgotten materia, a Life Return materia, he went off, alone, on a dangerous scavenger hunt trying to find the thing. He did and about three months ago, he gathered us all at the City of the Ancients and brought Aeris and Zack back to life. When he did this, Sephiroth's soul latched on to Aeris' and returned to his body as well. Now, the nightmare begins again."
"We can do something similar with our dragonballs, except we can wish for anything we want," Light said, more to himself than to Tifa, "If we were on Earth, we could wish Sephiroth back to Hell."
"Hmm...let's start now," Tifa said after a moment of silence. Light nodded and began telling her what to do.
Yuffie spat blood, she was on her knees. Ten feet away was Strife, standing straight up with his arms crossed and a Vegeta-like smirk he learned from Light, "Are you ready to admit that I'm stronger than you, and that you could learn something's from me? Are you ready to let me train you?"
"Are you ready to kiss my ass?!" Yuffie snapped. She pulled out a materia and concentrated on it. "Ice3!!" Strife felt himself freeze over, he couldn't move, the air was almost too cold to breath.
"Sh-sh-shit, that's c-cold!" he said, then he went Super Saiyajin. The paralyzing pain subsided into simply blinding pain, and that Strife could deal with.
He shot a couple of ki blasts at Yuffie, who managed a few nice dodges. Then she pulled another materia, "Demi2!!"
"Oh, hell no! MASENKO.....HA!!" He had more powerful attacks, but he didn't want to kill her, only show her who's boss. The Masenko hit her and she rolled in the dirt again. Better follow up, if she has that Super Nova or the Ultima, I might actually break a sweat, Strife thought. "KA..." Yuffie stirred, "ME...HA..." Yuffie started to get up, "ME...." Yuffie's up, "HA!!" Strife blasted her into a boulder. She hit the boulder, smashed the back of her head into it, and slumped lifelessly to the ground. Strife looked worried and searched for her ki. Oh good, she's only unconscious. Looks like I'll have to wait until she wakes up to train her.
Cloud, who was standing back watching this stepped forward and closed his eyes, "Cure3." Yuffie groaned, rolled over, and stood up.
"Damn, Strife," she said, rubbing her head, "Okay, I give. Teach me."
"Me too," Cloud said.
"Sure, come on," Strife said.
"Wait on us!" Aeris said, running toward them and dragging Zack with her.
"Yeah, sure," Strife replied as he shrugged. Four students to your one, Light.
If you can't handle it, I'll take a couple.
Thanks, but I can handle it. Life is here with me, and Fyre nearing you, Strife felt Light cast out his senses.
So she is, Strife, so she is. Justyce too.
Yeah, I feel that. So what are you gonna start with?
Well, I started Tifa off with flying, now she flies at the speed of a Super Saiyajin level 1.
Hmm, I think I'll start with that too, what's she on now?
Ki blasts, then we're doing Zanzokens, then combos.
Alright, I'll probably change the order a little but we may be done by dinner.
Right. Tell Life I love her.
Strife turned to Life, who had wrapped her arms around him "Your brother loves you, so do I," he whispered.
"I know," she said, squeezing him tightly, then she broke away, "Should I take Yuffie and Aeris and teach them to fight like me."
"No, you fight like Light, and I kick his ass all the time."
Since when?!
"Since always," Strife replied.
Hmph. Riiight.
"Whatever, man," Strife said. "Yeah, Life, take Yuffie and Aeris. I'll handle these two." Suddenly, Light and Tifa flew into their part of the forest and landed. Tifa was beaming.
"I'm getting faster," she said.
"Yeah, I push her past her limits and she doesn't even complain," Light said, "She's the second person I ever taught anything and she's doing very well." Then Light frowned and looked very sad and guilty.
"What's wrong?" asked Aeris.
Light tried feebly to smile, "I was just remembering the first person I taught."
"Did they die in battle?"
"No, she died because I hadn't taught her well enough and I was too far away to help her," Light closed his eyes and spoke, "We were at a mall, and she'd gone out to bring her car around to the front of the store. I waited for ten minutes, but she didn't come, so I went out to see if see was lost. It was a big parking lot and I feared for her safety. I was in love with her. Hmm, when I found her some three guys were taking turns ass raping her with a knife to her throat. She wasn't strong enough to defeat them. When they saw me coming, one of them just cut her throat without a second thought. I was only at Super Saiyajin level 2 then, but seeing that made me go Super Saiyajin level 3 for the first time. You see, a Saiyajin's rage is the key to its power. With this new power, I killed the three of them mercilessly. Now, I'm sorry I killed them, I was sorry I killed them even then. Sadness, rage, and guilt are the reasons that my ki is black," as he said this, he charged up his hand, making it glow with a creepy black aura. Light then walked over to a cliff and stared at the forest below, saying nothing else, barely moving, his ki dropped to a slow, almost dying throb.
"Ugh, it really creeps me out when he does that," Life said. Justyce set down just as she finished saying that and looked over at Light in a worried way, that subsided when he saw his brother was standing.
"Why did you two move?" he asked Light. Light was silent, his ki didn't even rise. "I hate it when he does that."
"He just told us what happened to--he never told us her name," Yuffie said. She took a deep breath, like she was about to yell, but Strife put his hand over her mouth.
"Shhhh, her name was Shana," he said.
Did I hear my name?
Strife heard Light's mind whisper, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Shana sighed, Damn it, Light. Not this again. You KNOW that--
I know that I failed you.
Light...both Shana and Strife said.
I know, I know, 'stop feeling sorry for yourself.' I'm not, I'm sorry for Shana. She had a future in medicine, instead she died when she was sixteen, through my fault. Guilt's a bitch sometimes.
Light, I'm your guardian angel, now. I also love you with all my heart, even if it was your fault, I couldn't even be angry at you for it.
Light, this is your little brother, Strife, remember? It happened, Shana even said that it was supposed to happen this way.
Everything happens for a reason....riiight. So anyway, Shana, what's up?
You'll never guess who's halfway on Snake Way.
Who? Both Strife and Light asked.
Kanu and Lunis.
Light thought first, You're joking, right?
She has to be King Kai wouldn't take them.
No, I'm not and he would. They're not evil, they just hate Saiyajins. They were raised to do so. They don't know any better. Me, personally, I find that Saiyajins are sweet and kind, and cute.
Yeah, okay, but where does that leave Light?
Hehehehe, shut up, Strife.
Outside of this conversation, everyone was wondering what was happening. Zack waved his hand in front of Strife's face, then Light's. He got no response from either. "Hey, did they just zone out?" he asked.
"I think so," said Cloud.
